The first glove program

The First Glove Program will help young baseball and softball players receive their first glove at no cost. Through donations and community partnerships, the foundation will work with coaches, schools, and youth organizations to identify players who need equipment and put a glove in their hands before the season begins.

More about the program

For a young baseball or softball player, a glove is more than a piece of equipment. It is often their first real connection to the game. But for some families, the cost of that first glove can keep a child from getting started.

The First Glove Program is being developed to remove that barrier. Through equipment donations and support from businesses and community partners, the We’re All Hearts Foundation plans to provide young players with their first baseball or softball glove at no cost.

Coaches, schools, youth leagues, and community organizations will help identify players who need equipment. Our goal is to place gloves in their hands before the season starts, giving each child the opportunity to practice, join a team, and step onto the field ready to play.

The program will begin in the Worcester community with the long-term goal of reaching young players across Massachusetts. Because every player remembers their first glove, and every child deserves the chance to get in the game.
